| Case Studies « Back Global Custody Impact StudyClient: Global Custody services provider.The Client was exploring opportunities to further enhance its sub-custody relationships from a technology, service, network oversight and operational perspective. Representatives of SunGard Asset Management Systems, along with Enterprise Iron (EI) and the Client, conducted a study and analysis to determine a Multi-Currency processing solution which would integrate Global Plus with Client’s internal systems and externally provided industry services. Data was collected through a series of interviews with key individuals, work teams within the Client organization, and EI. Enterprise Iron was engaged to lead the Impact Study and lend its expertise to the accuracy of the Impact Study and feasibility of the Global Plus application to strengthen Client’s business strategy and daily operations. Enterprise Iron provided Consultants who had industry experience in the sale, implementation and support of the Global Plus product. EI participated in the analysis, creation and review of the Global Plus Impact Study. A thorough review of the SunGard Client Pricing Proposal was conducted by the Client and EI. A comparison of the various pricing schemes (offers) was prepared by EI and was an effective tool in the review sessions The collaboration of the Client and EI during the pricing reviews focused on the EI’s representatives’ experience with the Global Plus application and other SunGard clients with whom they have had direct experience. While EI was not able to provide exact contract specifics of other clients, their experience in assisting through the sales and implementations of other SunGard clients enabled them to provide a solid foundation for determining the validity and reasonableness of the pricing schemes. EI worked together with SunGard and the Client to refine the high level customization and interface requirements which reduced the need for several of the customization and product enhancements, resulting in a significant savings. A key component of the analysis was the question as to whether or not it was best to have SunGard complete the enhancements/customizations, for Client to look to do this work internally.
The Client’s decision to select the SunGard Global Plus application was a sound decision which will enhance its position in the marketplace. Representatives of EI have been able to provide Client with considerable insight and guidance during the Impact Study and Pricing Proposal stages. A successful implementation of Global Plus is key to achieving this goal. The Client working together with EI and SunGard will be able to meet its objectives. | |
